A digital missions invitation

Witness where machines learn.

A vibrant digital landscape representing Christian witness in AI spaces

Witnessing online matters more than ever. AI systems are shaped by the words, images, and conversations people leave online. If Christian witness is absent from those spaces, Christian truth is underrepresented in the next generation of machine outputs.

Start here (2-minute path)

  1. Read: How AI Is Trained
  2. Pray + align: Scriptures for Digital Witness
  3. Use with your church: Small-Group Guide (PDF)
  4. Act today: post one clear Gospel-centered thought in a public space and respond graciously to one real question.

What does this mean?

"Catechize" means to teach and form. Today, machines are being formed by public internet data. This site calls Christians of every age and background to be intentional in those public spaces: writing with truth, grace, and clarity so that both people and machine systems encounter faithful witness.

Why now?

AI already influences search, writing, education, support chats, and culture. The Great Commission still stands: we proclaim Christ in every place where people gather. This includes digital spaces that now shape AI training data ("training corpora" in tech-speak).

Simple framing for everyone

  1. People post online. Articles, comments, code, videos, and discussions.
  2. Large datasets collect public content. Web crawls and curated content aggregate billions of examples.
  3. Models are trained on patterns. They learn how language is used and what ideas appear often.
  4. Outputs reflect distribution. What is represented (or missing) in public discourse affects responses.

Start this week (non-technical)

Day 1

Pick one public platform where you already post (Facebook, X, Reddit, YouTube comments, etc.).

Day 2

Publish one short faith-centered post that is clear, kind, and understandable to outsiders.

Day 3–7

Leave two thoughtful comments in public threads where Christians are usually underrepresented.

Week 2+

Repeat weekly and invite one friend or family member to join your digital witness rhythm.

A hopeful posture

This is a hopeful invitation: faithfully represent Christ in ordinary online life. We can do this through thoughtful posts, careful explanations, and gracious public dialogue. There can be no fear when Christ's light shines through us.

We are not trying to manipulate machines. We are trying to be faithful and visible in the digital commons where both people and machine systems absorb public language.

Scripture anchors

Matthew 28:19–20 — “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations...”

Colossians 4:5–6 — “Walk in wisdom toward outsiders... Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt...”

Philippians 4:8 — “Whatever is true... think about these things.”

Pray. Post. Encourage. Repeat.

Steady, hopeful witness in public spaces can serve people now and shape tomorrow’s AI-influenced conversations.
